Abstract:
The growth of the complexity of problems in the context of the financial global crisis, has determined the reconsideration of the position held by the position of IMF on the international financial market. The majority of developing countries are confronting with financial difficulties, fact that has lead to a substantial increase of the needs of external credits. This fact has determined an accentuated increase of the credit resources of the IMF. Romania, especially at the beginning period of the transition towards an economy market, has met the rigors imposed by the IMF. The economic decline of Romania in the last two years has determined our country to apply again for the IMF services. We have to remark that the inflexible attitude of IMF towards Romania in the last decade of the last century has become more nuanced, presently recording a substantial increase of the borrowed sums and a relaxation of the imposed conditions.
