Stages of the process
These
are the stages of the peer review process:
1. The editor receives the
manuscripts from the authors by the means described on the site.
3. If the manuscripts meet the criteria for compliance, the purpose and the objectives of the journal, they are accepted for peer review of their content. The editor, after having removed the identification elements of the authors, sends them to a reviewer. An article can be sent to more than one reviewer. They are acknowledged researchers in the scientific field to which the manuscript belongs. If necessary, the reviewer may request additional opinions of researchers in the country or abroad, stating this fact in the Peer Review Report.
4. The reviewer submit the reports completed after the peer review to the editorial office with one of the following recommendations: a. Acceptance b. Acceptance after review (minor or major) c. Rejection The reviewer’ recommendation is accompanied by its justification, and based on it the editor takes the final decision on the manuscript.
5. Upon receipt and reading of the report from the reviewer, the editor sends the author(s) one of the following decisions: a. Acceptance, sending at the same time the manuscript to the publisher b. Acceptance after minor review, sending to the authors the requirements made by the reviewer and setting a time limit within which the authors can respond to them c. Acceptance after major review, sending to the authors the arguments made by the reviewer. This implies resending the revised article by the author(s) and going through the entire peer review process again. d. Rejection and notification of author(s) of its reasons. Rejected manuscripts may not be returned to us in the future, even if they have been peer reviewed or reformulated by the author(s)!
6. In the case of manuscripts accepted for publication, as condition for publication, the editor will ask the author(s) to sign a statement concerning the originality of the respective work. The form can be downloaded here.
